Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Course

Objectives

At the end of this continuing education activity, participants should be able to:

  • Demonstrate preventive techniques for de-escalating disruptive behavior;
  • Demonstrate personal safety techniques to be used in a crisis situation;
  • Demonstrate team control techniques to be utilized in a crisis situation to ensure the safety of all involved;
  • Demonstrate using ADDRESS protocol as a de-escalating strategy.

Accreditation

The Dartmouth-Hitchcock Nursing Continuing Education Council is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
