TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course

The Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) is a two-day course designed to provide core-level knowledge and skills associated with the delivery of professional emergency nursing care to the trauma patient. Lecture topics include: Initial Assessment, Airway & Ventilation, Shock, Brain, Craniofacial Trauma, Facial/Neck Trauma, Thoracic Trauma, Abdominal Trauma, Special Populations, Musculoskeletal Trauma, Surface Trauma & Burns, Spinal Cord & Vertebral Trauma, Disaster Management, Psychosocial Aspects, and Transition of Care. Skill stations include: Airway & Ventilation, Trauma Nursing Process and Trauma Interventions. Contact hours are provided by the Emergency Nurses Association.

Registration

Tuition is $250 for ENA members and $300 for non-members (a copy of your membership card must be submitted with registration). These courses are sponsored by the DHMC-Emergency Department. Checks should be made payable to the DHMC-Emergency Department Education Fund. You may also register by credit card. The registration deadline is 5 weeks before each course. Space in the course is guaranteed only to those participants who have paid the registration fee. Refunds will be made only if the cancellation is received 4 weeks before the course and the manual is returned undamaged. A $75 administrative charge will is deducted from all refunds. These courses fill quickly so register early!
