D-H Teaching with Simulation Instructor Course

The Simulation Based Education and Research Department invites you to register for the November D-H Teaching with Simulation Instructor Course. Students must complete two full-day sessions, which include some pre-work (readings and a video). Continuing Education credits are awarded upon completion of the course.

The course is limited to 8 registrants.

Registration is online and by credit card only.

The registration fees are as follows:

  • D-H Employees and Affiliates: No Charge (Registration is still required)
  • NEAH Members: $995
  • Others: $1200

Preregistration and payment required. The registration deadline is 10 days prior to the activity date. There will be no refunds after that date. A $10 administrative fee for a registration fee of under $50, and a $25 administrative fee for a registration of $50 and over, will be retained on all refunds requested before the registration deadline. Learning Outcomes

The desired learning outcomes are that learners can: develop evidence-based simulation syllabi, skills trainings, and scenarios; explain the importance of integrating Patient Safety into simulation activities; instruct students using evidence-based teaching methods; evaluate students with evidence-based feedback and questioning techniques and evaluation tools; and, describe research designs using simulation.

Accreditation

Dartmouth-Hitchcock is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Dartmouth-Hitchcock designates this live activity for a maximum of 16.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Nursing Continuing Education Council is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

This educational activity carries 16.75 contact hours.
