Second Annual Trauma Conference: A Full Day of Trauma Education for the Healthcare Team

Prepare for the Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN®) exam. TCRN® is a certification developed by the Society of Trauma Nurses (STN®) and the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN®). A full day of education is presented for any member of the healthcare team who cares for injured patients. It will review care of the patient across the continuum of trauma care, from injury prevention to rehabilitation. The program will address the six major domains of trauma care as defined by BCEN®, the credentialing body.

Registration is online and by credit card only. 

The registration fees are as follows:

  • Dartmouth-Hitchcock Employees and Affiliates: No Charge
  • NEAH Hospital Employees: $45
  • CREST Members: $45
  • Others: $90

Preregistration and payment required. The registration deadline is 10 days prior to the activity date. There will be no refunds after that date. A $10 administrative fee for a registration fee of under $50, and a $25 administrative fee for a registration of $50 and over, will be retained on all refunds requested before the registration deadline. Learning Outcome(s)

This course agenda is designed to increase the knowledge base of the learner in the overall management of injured patients, and includes review of trauma systems, professional, legal and ethical issues, and mechanism and patterns of injury. At the conclusion of the course, the learner will be able to perform a thorough post-injury assessment and contribute to a systematic plan of care. Within three months of the completion of this course, a nurse with 2 years of trauma care experience, as recommended by the credentialing body, should be able to be successful on the Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN) exam.


Dartmouth-Hitchcock Nursing Continuing Education Council is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

This educational activity carries 8.5 contact hours.

Receiving Contact Hours

The follow steps must be completed in order to receive contact hours for this event:

  • Register for the event online
  • Attend the event or session(s). A contact hours tracking sheet will be provided.
  • Complete the online evaluation - Must be submitted within 30 days after the activity

  • Log onto https://ce.dartmouth-hitchcock.org/login.aspx
  • Click on the My Activities link in the left side menu. Then click on the name of the activity you attended.
  • Click on the Resume button.
  • Click the Continue button until the Evaluation tab is active, and then click the Launch button.
  • Fill out the evaluation and then click submit. Contact hours will then be applied to your transcript. You can view your updated transcript by clicking on the "View Transcript" button.
