The 14th Ethics Committee Member Training Day

This workshop provides an opportunity for new and prospective members of healthcare bioethics committees to gain introductory knowledge of health related ethical issues and to interact with colleagues from across the region. Individuals not affiliated with healthcare bioethics committees who are interested in ethical issues are also welcome.

Registration is online and by credit card only. 

The registration fees are as follows:

  • Dartmouth-Hitchcock Employees and Affiliates: No Charge (Advance registration required for planning purposes)
  • D-H and Affiliates Ethics committee members as well as UVM Ethics committee members and Community members of ethics committees: No Charge (Advance registration required for planning purposes)
  • NEAH Hospital Employees: $35
  • Others: $70

Preregistration and payment required. The registration deadline is 10 days prior to the activity date. There will be no refunds after that date. A $10 administrative fee for a registration fee of under $50, and a $25 administrative fee for a registration of $50 and over, will be retained on all refunds requested before the registration deadline. Learning Outcome(s)

At the conclusion of this learning activity, participants will be able to describe the role and responsibilities of healthcare based bioethics committee members.

Accreditation

Dartmouth-Hitchcock is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Dartmouth-Hitchcock designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Nursing Continuing Education Council is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

This educational activity carries 6.25 contact hours.

Receiving Credit

The follow steps must be completed in order to receive credit for this event:

  • Register for the event online
  • Attend the event or session(s). A credit tracking sheet will be provided.
  • Complete the online evaluation - Must be submitted within 30 days after the activity

    Accessing the Online Evaluation (The evaluation is available the day after the event)

  • Log onto https://ce.dartmouth-hitchcock.org/login.aspx
  • Click on the My Activities link in the left side menu. Then click on the name of the activity you attended.
  • Click on the Resume button.
  • Click the Continue button until the Evaluation tab is active, and then click the Launch button.
  • Fill out the evaluation and then click submit. Credits will then be applied to your transcript. You can view your updated transcript by clicking on the "View Transcript" button.
