Taking Diabetes Back to School – Tips for School Nurses

Going back to school can be difficult for children, parents and school nurses – especially when the child has diabetes. You will have an opportunity to meet with other school nurses, have hands on practice with some of the technology used in managing diabetes and ask questions of the staff at the CHaD diabetes program.

Registration is online and by credit card only.

The registration fees are as follows:

  • $20 per person

Preregistration and payment required. The registration deadline is 10 days prior to the activity date. There will be no refunds after that date. Learning Outcome(s)

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be better able to provide care to children with diabetes through enhanced assessment skills and treatment strategies.

Accreditation

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Nursing Continuing Education Council is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

This educational activity carries 3 contact hours.

  • Fill out the evaluation and then click submit. Contact hours will then be applied to your transcript. You can view your updated transcript by clicking on the "View Transcript" button.
