VA-BC™ Review Exam Preparation Workshop

Kay Coulter’s VA-BC™ Review Workshop is a 1-day “key points” review that, when combined with the VA-BC Exam Preparation Self Study Program (audio & workbook provided) will prepare healthcare providers to take the Vascular Access Certification (VA-BC™) Exam! The VA-BC™ Review was specifically designed to help focus your study efforts and to clarify challenging concepts and major exam points. For best results, it is highly recommended that participants listen to the audio in its entirety prior to attending the workshop.

Registration is online and by credit card only. 

The registration fees are as follows:

  • Dartmouth-Hitchcock and Member Organization Employees: No Charge (advance registration required for planning purposes)
  • NEAH Hospital Employees: $140
  • Others: $275

Preregistration and payment required. The registration deadline is 10 days prior to the activity date. There will be no refunds after that date. Kay Coulter, CRNI, VA-BC is a nationally recognized infusion therapy clinician who has over 35 years of experience related to the specialty practice of infusion therapy. She has dedicated numerous years providing I.V. therapy-related education and consulting to all levels of healthcare providers, institutions and organizations. Kay is the co-founder, Executive Director and principal instructor for Infusion Knowledge, Inc. where she presents on all aspects of I.V. therapy education, infusion-related legal issues and PICC Qualification. She has been assisting nurses to successfully obtain infusion certification for over 20 years. Kay is qualified as a Legal Nurse Consultant and is often retained as an expert witness for clinical infusion therapy legal matters. She has presented numerous infusion-related education seminars across the U.S. and her reputation, as a quality infusion therapy educator, is well known on the local, state, and national level.

Learning Outcome(s)

At the conclusion of this learning activity, participants will be able to achieve a passing grade on the Vascular Access Certification (VA-BC) exam.


Dartmouth-Hitchcock Nursing Continuing Education Council is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

This educational activity carries 7 contact hours.

Receiving Contact Hours

The follow steps must be completed in order to receive contact hours for this event:

  • Register for the event online
  • Attend the event or session(s). A contact hours tracking sheet will be provided.
  • Complete the online evaluation - Must be submitted within 30 days after the activity

    Accessing the Online Evaluation (The evaluation is available the day after the event)

  • Log onto https://ce.dartmouth-hitchcock.org/login.aspx
  • Click on the My Activities link in the left side menu. Then click on the name of the activity you attended.
  • Click on the Resume button.
  • Click the Continue button until the Evaluation tab is active, and then click the Launch button.
  • Fill out the evaluation and then click submit. Contact hours will then be applied to your transcript. You can view your updated transcript by clicking on the "View Transcript" button.
