Caring for Individuals Living with Dementia: Skills and Strategies for Challenging Behaviors

Challenging behaviors, such as restlessness and aggression, can be common in older people with dementia. In addition to a reduction in patients’ quality of life, the stress to caregivers is greatly increased. Developing a plan of care to improve patient outcomes becomes increasingly complex. Please join us as we take a closer look at the care of patients with dementia, the ethical challenges that are involved, and the pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches that can be incorporated into plans of care to best address patient needs.

The planning committee would like to acknowledge the Grimshaw-Gudewicz Charitable Foundation for its support of this educational offering.
