Opioids and Pain in Older Adults

This all day symposium will focus on issues relating to substance use specific to opioids, and chronic pain in older adults. Presentations will focus on substance use in older adults, family and community perspectives relating to opioid use, opioid safety, prescribing and deprescribing opioids and programs for those with chronic pain. A light breakfast and lunch will be served.

At the conclusion of this learning activity, the learners will be able to identify unique considerations for older adults relating to opioid use and pain management.

  • Log onto https://ce.dartmouth-hitchcock.org/login.aspx
  • Click on the My Activities link in the left side menu. Then click on the name of the activity you attended.
  • Click on the Resume button.
  • Click the Continue button until the Evaluation tab is active, and then click the Launch button.
  • Fill out the evaluation and then click submit. Credits will then be applied to your transcript. You can view your updated transcript by clicking on the "View Transcript" button.
