Shield Our Children from Harm: Stronger Teams for Safe Families

The 17th annual Shield Our Children from Harm Professional Conference will be held at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. It is a joint effort between the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock, the Child Advocacy Center of Grafton and Sullivan Counties at DHMC, and The Family Place Child Advocacy Centers of Windsor County.

The registration fees are as follows:

  • Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistant: $90
  • Others: $50

Preregistration and payment required. The registration deadline is 10 days prior to the activity date. There will be no refunds after the registration deadline has been reached. At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to discuss at least three evidence based practice changes in the care and treatment of children at risk for abuse and neglect.

Receiving Credit

The follow steps must be completed in order to receive credit for this event:

  • Register for the event online
  • Attend the event or session(s). A credit tracking sheet will be provided.
  • Complete the online evaluation - Must be submitted within 30 days after the activity

    Accessing the Online Evaluation (The evaluation is available the day after the event)

  • Log onto https://ce.dartmouth-hitchcock.org/login.aspx
  • Click on the My Activities link in the left side menu. Then click on the name of the activity you attended.
  • Click on the Resume button.
  • Click the Continue button until the Evaluation tab is active, and then click the Launch button.
  • Fill out the evaluation and then click submit. Credits will then be applied to your transcript. You can view your updated transcript by clicking on the "View Transcript" button.

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Employees - Tuition fees must be paid online by credit card. D-H Accounts Payable will no longer process internal transfers of registration fees. Individuals must pay online with a credit card and then seek reimbursement, if appropriate.

Parking - In order to accommodate and best serve our patients’ parking needs, we request that all weekday conference and meeting attendees park in Lot 9 and use the Lot 9 shuttle service. Shuttles run approximately every 20 minutes - please allow enough time to accommodate this. For weekend meetings and conferences, onsite parking is permitted. View directions & map to Lot 9.
