Nursing Grand Rounds - Nurse-Patient Communication: Are New-Graduate Nurses Prepared for this Aspect of the Role? - Cancelled

Nurse-patient communication is essential to the nursing role and competence is an expectation. Unfortunately, there is a lack of data regarding how nurses are taught communication skills and whether the current educational methods have fully prepared newly-graduated nurses. This presentation will discuss the results of a study that was designed to determine how prepared newly-graduated nurses have felt while communicating with their patients.
