Holistic Care Webinar: Introduction to Clinical Hypnosis - Strategies and Skills for Stress Reduction and Improved Communication

Hypnosis has been used in health care for centuries and yet remains misunderstood and underutilized. In this session, you will learn about the history of clinical hypnosis and how you already use it in your practice. We will also discuss effective and easy to use strategies and tools to reduce your baseline stress and improve overall communication.

At the conclusion of this learning activity, participants will be able to describe how use of hypnosis can enhance the overall patient experience.

Accreditation

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Nursing Continuing Education Council is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

This educational activity carries 1.5 contact hours.

Receiving Contact Hours

The follow steps must be completed in order to receive contact hours for this event:

  • Register for the event online
  • Attend the event or session(s). A contact hours tracking sheet will be provided.
  • Complete the online evaluation - Must be submitted within 30 days after the activity

  • Log onto https://ce.dartmouth-hitchcock.org/login.aspx
  • Click on the My Activities link in the left side menu. Then click on the name of the activity you attended.
  • Click on the Resume button.
  • Click the Continue button until the Evaluation tab is active, and then click the Launch button.
  • Fill out the evaluation and then click submit. Contact hours will then be applied to your transcript. You can view your updated transcript by clicking on the "View Transcript" button.
