Serious Illness Conversations, Part 2: Advanced Skills Building

Join us for an interactive, skills-based training in VitalTalk’s foundational REMAP course.

By the end of this activity, learners will build off of a foundational communication framework and apply this to high stakes goals of care conversations with a focus on sharing a clear prognosis, responding to emotions, efficiently eliciting values, and making goal-aligned recommendations in patients with serious illness.

We welcome participants of any discipline: nurses, social workers, physicians, associate providers, and others. We encourage clinical teams to train together.

This conference will be offered virtually using the Zoom platform.

TO TAKE PART IN THE LEARNING, PARTICIPANTS MUST HAVE:
- A microphone and a camera
- Zoom downloaded onto a desktop or laptop (not handheld devices)
- High speed internet (>10 MPS)
- A place relatively free from interruptions and loud noise

This event is open to Dartmouth-Hitchcock and Member Organizations Only.

We strongly suggest clinicians complete our 3 hour Serious Illness Conversations, Part 1: Framework and Communication Practice(sessions can be found here) prior to taking this course. This assures that the clinician has essential foundational skills in order to get the most out of this full day, interactive training.

Spots are limited – sign up soon!

Please note: The virtual conference meeting access link will be emailed to registered participants 24-48 hours prior to the start of the activity.
