2022 Shield Our Children From Harm Conference

The science of child abuse assessment and prevention continues to evolve. Given rapid advancements in the field, it’s important that physicians, nurses, mental health providers, social workers, and law enforcement officers stay up-to-date in order to recognize and address child abuse concerns and address them effectively. This program will provide an opportunity to learn best practices and to improve patient care via new guidelines, targeted resources, and methods to enhance the participants’ interactions with patients & families, as well as with other professionals in the community.

At the conclusion of this activity, (at least 75% of) participants will be able to discuss at least three evidence based practice changes in the care and treatment of children who are at risk for abuse and neglect.
